Yasaman (Yassi) Hadjibashi is the Global Head of Data and Analytics for Citi’s Global Consumer Bank Technology, a team dedicated to leveraging technological innovation and services that enable growth and reduce pain points for Citi customers around the world. In this role, Yassi leads the establishment of new data and analytics capabilities for the bank, drives maturity and efficiency across existing data competencies, and oversees the portfolio of global data initiatives.
Prior to joining Citi, Yassi was the Group Chief Innovation Officer for Barclays Africa Group, where she defined and led the group’s innovation agenda across all its business units, functions, and geographies for the African continent. Before this, she was the first-ever Group Chief Data Officer of Barclays Africa Group where she built their new Data Products and Platforms function, leveraging the latest in big data, artificial intelligence, and analytics technologies to transform customer experiences and servicing. Her portfolio won the prestigious 2017 Gartner Excellence Award for the best global advanced analytics and data science team and the 2017 Gartner Eye on Innovation Award for the most innovative digital business model.
Yassi is an alumna of the U.S. Presidential Leadership Scholars Program, a leadership initiative designed for U.S. leaders from diverse backgrounds, who share a commitment to helping solve society’s greatest challenges. Yassi also founded eSuccess.online, a global initiative dedicated to helping children improve their academic engagement through personalized, virtual mentorship. She was named Global Leader and Data Leader of the Year at Information Age’s Women in I.T. Awards in 2018 and 2019 respectively for her business leadership, data and technology innovation, and community success. Yassi earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her MBA from Harvard Business School.
